Summary of the contracting process

The Watford Borough Council is initiating a tender for the "Gypsy and Traveller Accommodation Needs Assessment," which falls under the urban environmental development planning industry category. This procurement process is currently at the tender stage, with submissions open until 5th June 2017. The contract is valued between £10,000 and £25,000, and it is set to take place in Watford, East of England. The procurement method is open, meaning all eligible suppliers can submit bids through the designated procurement portal, following the requisite guidelines laid out in the tender documents.

This tender presents significant opportunities for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) to engage in a meaningful project that addresses the accommodation needs of gypsies and travellers within the region. Companies specialising in urban planning services and environmental assessments would find this opportunity particularly relevant. Engaging in this project could not only enhance their portfolio but also establish a relationship with a local government authority, potentially opening doors for future contracts in related fields.
