Notice Description

The contracts within this procurement are likely to cover the following services for adults with a learning disability: * "Day Services" (Placed based activities) * Sessional outreach support * Some short-breaks provision, excluding overnight provision * Support to adults with a learning disability that is sessional, across weekdays, evenings, and weekends * Digital and 1-1 activities for adults with a learning disability that potentially provide learning, development, recreational, therapeutic, social, arts, sports, physical fitness, mental wellbeing, cultural and leisure opportunities in the community In order to reflect a changing approach to the delivery of "Day Services" for adults with a learning disability, which recognises that people with learning disabilities have needs not only Monday-Friday from 10am to 3pm, but across an entire week, and that their interests and abilities are broad and varied, Wandsworth is renaming the provision "Life Skills and Wellbeing Opportunities". This has been done in consultation with current stakeholders. It is our intention to commission a range of services that includes Digital services, Support in the community and at home and specialist placed based services for approximately 200 adult per annum. The aim of these services is to promote the skills and independence of people with a Learning Disability and in some cases offer respite to carers. Additional Information We are undertaking a soft market testing exercise to seek the market's views on this tender, in order to shape its development. We are considering establishing a framework. Future contracts are likely to be awarded across four categories: virtual support, community support, home support and specialist, place-based support.
