The tender, titled "Housing, care and support for young people aged 16 and 17 with complex needs," falls under the health and social work services industry category. The application process is open until the deadline of 31 March 2022, with the contract period commencing on 1 April 2022 and lasting until 31 August 2030. The procurement follows an open procedure, allowing multiple applicants the opportunity to submit their interest in becoming pre-approved providers. Interested businesses must register on the Council's e-Procurement System and complete the necessary application documentation.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses in the sectors of social work, mental health services, and housing support, particularly those that are small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) or voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs). By joining the Approved List, successful applicants can secure a consistent channel for contracts providing essential services to vulnerable young individuals and their families. This could aid in expanding operational capacity and service offerings, especially in emergency situations where immediate support is required.
