Notice Description

This is for a new Local Healthwatch Service (LHW) for East Berkshire . Slough Borough Council (SBC) has agreed to lead the procurement of LHW with support from the other 2 authorities. It will be jointly commissioned with Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead (RBWM) and Bracknell Forest Council (BFC). This combined service will deliver efficiency savings and opportunities for innovation. Local Healthwatch Service (LHW) is the independent consumer champion for health and social care on the local level. It: o Represents the collective voice of residents, patients, carers and the public (including children and young people) to commissioners, service providers and local politicians o Acts as a focal point for the local community to have a voice in the commissioning and provision of health and social care o Provides opportunities for local people of all ages to influence decisions being made about their services, across the NHS and social care. This Service Specification: o Sets out the commissioning requirements for Local Healthwatch Service, which is planned to run from the 1st July 2020 for a 5 year period sourced as a 3+1+1 year o Gives details of the elements of the service that will be required from the Service Provider o Must be read in conjunction with the Terms and Conditions of the Contract.
