Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process involves the Southampton City Council, seeking tenders for the "Post 16 Semi-Independent Accommodation & Support Framework (2nd Anniversary Re-opening)." This initiative falls under the category of welfare services for children and young people, primarily serving local authorities in the South East and South West regions of the United Kingdom. The open procedure allows for submissions from both new and existing providers. The contract period commences on 1st February 2021 and will run until 31st January 2023. All tenders should have been submitted by the deadline of 28th September 2020.

This tender represents substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in semi-independent accommodation services and support for young people, particularly those that cater to looked-after children, care leavers, and individuals with complex needs. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are particularly well-suited to compete, as the framework encourages diverse service provision across four designated lots. Providers looking to enhance their offerings or those wishing to enter the public sector service space will find this framework an advantageous opportunity for growth.
