Summary of the contracting process

The Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a Kitchen Domestic Assistant under an open tender process. This contract offers a 27-hour per week engagement starting as soon as possible, concluding on 13 March 2019. The successful candidate will be paid £8.68 per hour and is expected to work on a rota basis across weekdays and weekends. Interested parties must submit their quotations via the Sandwell MBC In-tend Supplier Portal by the closing date of 4 January 2019 at 17:00hrs. The contract is classified under supply services of personnel including temporary staff, specifically targeting agency staff services for households.

This tender presents significant growth opportunities for businesses specialising in staffing solutions, particularly those offering agency staff within the healthcare and domestic assistance sectors. Companies with experience in supporting facilities that cater to vulnerable populations, such as those with dementia, will be particularly well-positioned to compete. The requirement for workers to possess a DBS check and a food hygiene certificate also highlights a demand for quality and compliance, which can be a competitive advantage for providers focused on meeting these standards.
