Notice Description

The aim of this project is to enhance HSE's understanding of the impact of long COVID on work. The contractor is required to: (i) Carry out a comprehensive assessment of relevant literature and other accessible sources of information relating to the impact of long COVID on work, the workplace and sickness absence. In addition, any workplace based interventions to assist such patients should be assessed. For example, fatigue and breathlessness are prominent features of long COVID, and it is at least plausible that rehabilitation programmes or graded exercise approaches at work could assist the worker with long COVID reintegrate back into the workplace. A summary report should be produced, with appropriate evidence tables. This process and report should include consideration of any transferable data from other studies that relate to prolonged post viral recouperation such as seasonal influenza.
