Notice Title
Market Engagement - Residential Care for Solo Complex Needs
Notice Description
Oxfordshire County Council is seeking views from potential providers on how best to deliver solo residential services for children with complex needs. Due to the desire and business need to have access to suitable placements within the county, and the lack of consortium style opportunities, the proposal is for four Ofsted registered solo homes within Oxfordshire for children and young people aged between 11-18 years. The homes could be four solo homes within one property or at individual properties. These homes will cater for children and young people who are assessed as unable to live with family or in a group setting and will often consist of 2-1 staffing support over a 24-hour period (1 waking, 1 sleeping night). The proposal is for a three-year contract, with two optional extension periods of two years each. The aim of this exercise is to understand the provider market, current and emerging practices as well as likely level of interest in the potential procurement activity that the Council may carry out. It is also an opportunity for developing relationships with providers and gain insight on how they would approach the delivery of the service. If you are interested in sharing your views, please complete the questionnaire and return, via the South East Business Portal, by 10:00am on 16th October 2023. Please note that this is neither a call for competition nor a procurement exercise.
