Notice Description

Please note: This opportunity is a call off from: Merseytravel Consultancy Services Multi Party Framework Agreement May 2015 - March 2019 Lot 10, as such only available to suppliers on Lot 10 of the framework. An experienced Programme Manager with high levels of commercial acumen to proactively manage the SIF. The ideal candidate would possess the skills below: 1. ability to lead a virtual multi-disciplinary team (comprising of legal, finance, and external consultants) during the SIF assessment process; 2. good understanding of public sector investment strategies and how to implement these; 3. ability to manage multiple projects or pieces of work simultaneously and provide critical challenge on performance and identify possible remediation strategies; 4. ability to work within a complex political environment; 5. strong financial management skills; 6. excellent communicator, with the ability to present good quality papers and presentations to senior managers and elected members; 7. excellent MS Office skills, plus MS Project and Visio would be desirable; 8. strong project and programme management experience, with professional qualifications such as Prince2, MSP or APMP. The interim postholder will work closely with other members of the Programme Management Office (PMO), and colleagues in Legal and Finance so that objectives of the SIF Assurance Framework are met and investment is targeted to deliver the Growth Strategy. The interim postholder will be based full time within the PMO, based at No1 Mann Island, and is expected to remain in post until the end of March 2017, with an option to extend for up to a further 6 months (on a rolling basis) until permanent resource is available.
