Job description: - Managing existing project contracts and procuring new contracts, extending existing contracts - Key point of contact with commercial, legal and finance teams over contract issues - Build effective relationships with contractors and delivery managers and understanding of their deliverables - Act as infrastructure lead in procurement processes, engaging with delivery managers and users to define requirements, writing ITT documentation, responding to supplier questions, assessing bids and being point of contact with Commercial team through to award - Defining KPIs, measurement and monitoring processes, and using these to monitor and report on performance, progress and risk - Manage and escalate areas of non-compliance, underperformance or likely overspend - Work closely with Finance and Business Manager on cost forecasting and reporting - Lead on commercial matters in relevant governance processes and forums including preparing cases for investment committee and contributing to business cases as needed Additional information: Please note that Defra procurement uses an E-tendering system for Procurement activities.
