Summary of the contracting process

The Hull City Council has issued a tender for Professional/Design Services Consultancy for the redevelopment of 52a-54 Beverley Road in Hull, which is currently derelict. The procurement process is in the tendering stage, with the deadline for submissions set for 6th September 2017. The project aims to demolish existing structures, restore the building's original façade, and create new commercial and residential units. This tender is classified under Architectural and related services and has a contract value of £150,000, with a minimum value of £75,000.

This opportunity offers significant potential for business growth, particularly for companies specialising in architectural design, conservation architecture, structural engineering, and quantity surveying. As the successful contractor will need to fulfil multiple key roles throughout the project's lifespan, businesses with experience in providing comprehensive design and consultative services will have a competitive advantage. The project not only supports local economic development but also invites innovative design solutions, making it an attractive prospect for SMEs looking to expand their portfolio in the public sector.

Professional/Design Services Consultant for the Re-Development of 52a-54 Beverley Road, Hull (\

Notice Description

The Council is seeking a supplier to provide Professional / Design Services Consultancy to fully support the re-development of the currently derelict premises at Nos. 52a - 54 Beverley Road, Hull ("Brunswick Arcade"). The current proposal is to demolish the current derelict units, reinstate the building frontage to match the original design, and to create a new development behind, consisting of both commercial units on the ground floor and residential units above. The Council now wishes to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced consultant to fulfil the role of principal designer for the lifetime of the project, i.e. from initial design and development stage through to delivery stage - which will include demolition of the existing premises, supporting of party walls, and subsequent construction and sympathetic redevelopment of the new 'infill' replacement building.
