Summary of the contracting process

The NHS South, Central and West Commissioning Support Unit is seeking to contract an Integrated Lifestyle Service, aimed at providing a cost-effective and high-quality service focused on promoting healthy lifestyles and supporting long-term behavior change. This procurement is currently in the tender stage, with submissions due by midday on 20th March 2018. The contract is anticipated to commence in October 2018 and will last for up to three years, with an estimated annual value of £150,000. The specific service delivery will take place in the South West region of the United Kingdom, and the procurement follows a tender procedure below the OJEU threshold.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses engaged in health and social work services, particularly those with expertise in behavior change, community engagement, and health promotion. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary and community sector enterprises (VCSEs) are well-positioned to compete, given the focus on collaborative community work and building on existing local services to address high-risk populations. Businesses that can demonstrate a strong ability to connect with local communities and provide tailored support will be particularly appealing to the contracting authority.
