Summary of the contracting process

The South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust has awarded a contract to CBRE Limited for the disposal of the Lambeth Hospital site, classified under Facilities Management Services (CPV code 79993100). The project entails marketing and selling the property, which has become redundant following the development of two new clinical buildings. The contract commenced on 29 November 2024 and will run until 29 November 2026. The tender process went through the stages of scoping, procurement, project management of site due diligence, and then selling the site with current or amended planning consents. The contract's value is £710,849, reflecting a combination of a fixed fee and a performance-based incentive.

This procurement process offers substantial business growth opportunities for companies specialised in property management, marketing, and real estate brokerage, particularly those with expertise in large-scale property sales and due diligence. The requirement for comprehensive marketing strategies and coordination with legal and consultancy services means businesses that can provide integrated services will be well-suited to compete. While the contract's suitability is not specifically targeted at SMEs or VCSEs, large organisations with the capacity to manage high-value and complex transactions are encouraged to take notice of such opportunities to leverage their expertise and drive competitive bidding in future tenders.
