Summary of the contracting process

The North Tyneside Council is currently engaged in the tender process for the "Healthy Vending 2018-2021" contract, which entails the provision of at least 19 Healthy Vending Machines to various leisure sites, including Hadrian Leisure Centre and Tynemouth Pool. The tender is classified under the Food, Beverages, Tobacco and Related Products industry and follows an open procurement method with a tender period that closes on 15th April 2019 at 12:00 noon. This tender presents significant growth opportunities, particularly for businesses specialising in the supply and installation of vending machines, especially those focusing on healthy options and sustainable practices, given the Authority's commitment to eliminating single-use plastics by 2025. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are encouraged to participate, as the procurement process is designed to accommodate their capabilities. Companies that can demonstrate experience in similar projects or those with innovative, sustainable product offerings would be well-positioned to compete for this contract.
