AWARD ONLY OF:- Information and advice provision for age related services. The service is aimed at increasing their ability to exercise choice and control and can also prevent or delaying people's need for care and support. The Service will provide free; confidential and impartial advice to all people over 50 and their carers. The service is given on a one to one basis and is tailored to meet individual needs. The service helps with: *Welfare benefits, pension, tax and other financial matters *Housing and property *Health & social care *Leisure and social activities - reducing loneliness and isolation *Family and personal matters *Peoples rights and local services *All other related services that can affect quality of life Older people have similar needs to other age groups; however they also have important distinctive needs that arise from life changing events and from the ageing process itself, such as bereavement, health problems and reduced mobility.
