Notice Title
NHS Flex for the Future Evaluation
Notice Description
This is a requirement for an external evaluation process for NHS Flex for the Future, a modular programme being delivered by the NHS England and NHS Improvement (NHSE&I) national Flexible Working team in partnership with Timewise. The programme commences on 30th September 2021. 93 NHS organisations have applied to take part, with some working across a complete ICS. Our aim with this programme is to draw on the collective knowledge and experience of NHSE&I and Timewise to provide NHS organisations with a step-by-step programme to create their own local action plan to deliver more flexible working opportunities in all roles, meeting the People Plan commitments. We wish to procure a further evaluation, by an independent organisation, focusing on the value for money in terms of the impact of the programme particularly in supporting organisations to address the changes needed to engage with and improve access to flexible working including: * How would they rate their progress as an organisation at achieving the change they need to fully support the commitments to flexible working in the People Plan? * Did they achieve the outcomes identified above in the information about the programme * What was particularly useful about the programme / what was less useful? * Were the experiences/ outcomes of those attending as an ICS different from those of individual organisations and what learning is there about this for future cohorts and the design of the programme? * Do the organisations feel that they would have got to the point they are at with flexible working in their organisation without being part of this programme? Why? Why not? * What did they value about the programme and how could the programme could be improved? This needs to include the taught programme sessions, the materials provided, the drop-ins and the overall structure in the context of the support it provided to change teams on the ground * What advice would they give to future cohorts? * What recommendations can be drawn from the evaluation in order to support organisations and ensure value for money for NHS England & NHS Improvement and the NHS?
