Summary of the contracting process

The Staffordshire County Council is inviting tenders for the "Accommodation Based Support Services (16-17 year olds)" project, targeting the welfare services industry for children and young people. This procurement process is currently in the Tender stage, with a deadline for submissions set for 27th September 2018. The successful provider will need to deliver services aimed at supporting 16-17 year olds on the edge of entering Local Authority Care due to homelessness. The contract period is expected to commence on 1st November 2018 and run until 31st October 2022, with a total contract value of £140,000.

This tender presents an opportunity for businesses specialised in welfare services, particularly those focusing on youth support and housing solutions. Businesses that can innovate and tailor service models to meet the specific needs of vulnerable young people will be well-positioned to compete. With the service being accessible year-round, including evenings and weekends, providers must demonstrate flexibility and a collaborative approach to working with statutory authorities and other relevant agencies.
