Notice Description

APHA has a requirement for regular intelligence on diseases prevalent in the British equine population as part of its scanning surveillance to detect new and re-emerging animal disease threats. The supplier will be required to produce quarterly reports from quarter 3 of 2021 (01 July - 30 September) onwards on equine diseases detected across Great Britain in that quarter. The information forming the basis of the quarterly reports shall be sourced from as large a network of commercial and practice laboratories as possible. The quarterly reports shall include information on new and re-emerging equine disease, including both exotic and endemic diseases. The quarterly reports shall consist principally of "numerator data" supported by more detailed intelligence on disease outbreaks and commentary on possible bias and the representativeness of the data. The reports shall be produced within two (2) months of the end of the quarter being reported on.
