Gloucestershire School Aged Immunisation Service

Notice Description

NHS England South (South Central) (the Commissioners) invite suitably qualified providers to attend a Market Engagement Event which will inform the market of their intention to re procure a School Aged Immunisation service to school aged children resident or attending school in the Gloucestershire area. NHS England South (South Central) will be the contracting and commissioning authority for the School Aged Immunisation service. The aim of the School Aged Immunisation service is to prevent school aged children from developing vaccine preventable childhood diseases that are associated with significant mortality and morbidity. Commissioners are looking for a provider to deliver a high quality service across Gloucestershire. The provider will be commissioned to deliver the NHS MenACWY adolescent booster, Td/IPV, HPV immunisation programmes, MMR catch up and childhood influenza for children aged 5, 6 and 7 (school years 1, 2 and 3) of sufficient quantity and quality to prevent the infections and outbreaks caused by these organisms. This means achieving high levels of coverage across England as well as within upper tier local government areas and within the context of populations with protected characteristics as defined by the Equality Act 2010. The service provider will need to be adaptable to any new programmes recommended nationally. It is envisaged that the tender documentation for the re-procurement of these services will be available from February 2017, with an anticipated service commencement date for the NHS seasonal childhood influenza programme in September 2017, and the school aged immunisation programme from 1st April 2018. A separate advert will be published to alert interested parties when the tender documentation is available. The Market Engagement Event will be held on 27th January 2017 between 12:30 - 14:00 in Prout Room Sanger House 5220 Valiant Court Gloucester Business Park Brockworth Gloucester GL3 4FE Additional information: Providers wishing to attend the Market Engagement Event should email their interest to procurement@swcsu.nhs.uk by 12pm on Monday 23rd January 2017 with the following details: Name of attendee(s) Job Title of attendee(s) Organisation details, including address and contact details. Please ensure that the title of the email contains reference of this advert. In the event you are unable to attend but would like to receive a copy of any presentation materials, please send an email to Procurement@swcsu.nhs.uk and copies will be sent to you. An expression of interest to attend this Market Engagement Event is no indication of a commitment to participate in the future tender process nor does it infer any special status on those Providers who do attend. An expression of interest in this event will not automatically entitle involvement in any future procurement exercise. Any procurement conducted as a result of this event will be advertised separately and all organisations wanting to participate will need to respond to the procurement advertisement as and when it is published. Providers who do not attend this Market Engagement Event will still be able to apply for the Procurement in the future. Please note that this Market Engagement Event does not represent a formal stage in the procurement process and attendance will play no part in any subsequent evaluation process.
