Notice Description

The London Borough of Waltham Forest, acting on behalf of the East London Coroner's Jurisdiction, is inviting tenders from suitably experienced and qualified organisations to provide a service for the collection, transport and delivery of deceased persons to the public mortuaries. The East London Coroner's Jurisdiction covers five East London boroughs: Waltham Forest, Newham, Redbridge, Havering and Barking and Dagenham. Tenders are being sought to cover for all or any combination of the above five boroughs. The service is required on a 24/7, all year round basis, including all Bank Holidays. The contract will be run as a Framework Agreement with rates fixed for 3 years. We anticipate that the value of this contract will be in the region of PS300,000 per annum for the lifespan of the contract, however the Council does not guarantee any contract sum. The contract will be for a period of 3 years, commencing in November 2019, with an option of 1 year extension, twice, subject to satisfactory performance and agreement by both parties. The Tender will be procured through an open procedure on the Pro Contract System www.londontenders.org
