To register on our e-sourcing portal click on https://gpsesourcing.cabinetoffice.gov.uk and follow the link "Register for CCS eSourcing" . UK Shared Business Services Ltd, acting as the Contracting Authority, is putting into place a Contract on behalf of the British Antarctic Survey (BAS) . BAS is looking for a supplier capable of providing Oceanic Floats that will be deployed in the Southern Ocean(s) for 2-4 years to capture sub-surface data. . The required Finescale Velocity measurements will be recorded at depths between 5M & 2000M at 5M intervals with the data (and GPS location) being transmitted via the Iridium system. . Each float will also require an Ice Guard - which is appropriate for light sea-ice - along with a shipping crate for transportation to the Southern Ocean(s) Additional information: DO NOT APPLY DIRECTLY TO THE BUYER. As part of the strategic alliance between UK Shared Business Services (UK SBS) and Crown Commercial Service (CCS), UK SBS can use the CCS eSourcing Suite, this can be done online at https://gpssourcing.cabinetoffice.gov.uk by following the link "Register for CCS eSourcing". . Please note that to register, you must have a valid DUNS number (as provided by Dun and Bradstreet) for the organisation you are registering, who will be entering into a contract if invited to do so. Once you have registered on the eSourcing Suite, a registered user can express an interest for a specific procurement. . This is done by emailing : ExpressionOf interest@crowncommercial.gov.uk. . Your e-mail must clearly state : the name and reference for the procurement you wish to register for ; the name of the registered Bidder ; and the name and contact details for the registered individual sending the email.
