Brief description: We are looking for a Senior Care Assistant to work 37 hours per week at Fountain Court which is a 16 bedded residential unit for people with dementia based in Millpool Way, Smethwick, B66 4HW. The rate of pay for this role is PS10.83 per hour and this is a temporary position for 12 weeks. The role includes providing leadership to a small team to provide person centred care in order to meet individual needs of the service users,and ensure their safety and wellbeing. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of the needs of older people, with dementia, effective communication skills and be able to produce clear and accurate records. Candidates must have a level 2 in Health and Social care or equivalent and must have 2 years' experience in a role caring for the elderly. Candidates must also have experience in working as a team member, supervisory experience as well as experience in the handling of medication. An Enhanced Adults Barring DBS Check will be required for this role Candidates need to be available immediately and fully compliant to start immediately.
