Summary of the contracting process

The St Helens Chamber Limited is seeking contractors for a boiler and radiator replacement project at their facility, Starting Point, located at 4 - 6 Hardshaw Street, St Helens, WA10 1RE, England. This procurement falls under the plumbing equipment industry category, classified as "Water heaters and heating for buildings". The tender is currently in the active stage, with the submission deadline set for 8th December 2017. The total contract value is estimated at £30,000, and the contract is expected to commence on 15th January 2018, concluding by 19th February 2018. Contractors must adhere to specific energy efficiency standards and guidelines provided by the St Helens Council Conservation Officer due to the building's location in a Conservation Area.

This tender presents a valuable opportunity for businesses specialising in heating system installations, especially those with expertise in energy-efficient solutions and gas safety compliance. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) may find this project particularly suitable, provided they can manage the site-specific demands, such as limited vehicle access and adherence to strict building regulations. Enhancing the energy efficiency of a historic building whilst introducing modern amenities could appeal to firms focusing on innovative heating solutions and sustainable practices.
