Works for Me Mentoring Programme
Notice Description
Works For Me (WFM) is an employability programme designed to help young people with complex needs who are NEET. The programme offers 1-2-1 meeting with a Job Broker who will help progress the young person to meet their aspirations in to work, full time education, apprenticeships. Mentoring is provided alongside the Job Brokering service. The aim of 1-2-1 mentoring is to identify any barriers or potential barriers that may impact or hinder the young person's progression into work, learning or apprenticeship. The aim is also to raise self-awareness, increase self-confidence, motivation and self esteem. There is annual projection of 30 participants on the WFM programme, each allocated up to 6 mentoring sessions, some participants may need less then 6 sessions. The Aims and Objectives of mentoring are to achieve the following outcomes; * To develop the resilience, remove the barriers and build confidence of participants. * Identify the need of each participant and agree a cohesive action plan of activity, and share this with the WfM Job Broker. * To provide regular face to face 1-2-1 meetings with participants (Up to 6 sessions). * Communications between the sessions as needed to move participants towards employment, training, further education. * Mentor participants to engage fully with Education provision, work skills provision, leading to work placements, employment, apprenticeship, traineeship.
