Summary of the contracting process

Leeds City Council is seeking contractors for the "Antenatal Support Service for Refugees and Asylum Seekers." This service will focus on providing antenatal support and education to vulnerable women from Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities, particularly refugees and asylum seekers, in accessible children's centres. The procurement process is currently at the tender stage, with bids accepted until 18 January 2022. This contract is valued at £50,000, covering a three-year period starting from 1 April 2022, with the potential for a two-year extension.

This tender presents an excellent opportunity for businesses in the health and social care sectors, particularly those that specialise in support services for BAME communities and vulnerable populations. Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprises (VCSEs) are encouraged to apply, as the project aims to engage providers that can deliver tailored, community-focused antenatal education. Companies with experience in public health, education, and community outreach are particularly well-suited to compete for this contract.
