Notice Description

Midlands & Lancashire CSU on behalf of Sandwell & West Birmingham CCG is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified providers for Home Care Placements for Patients Newly Requiring NHS Continuing Healthcare. It is anticipated that this opportunity will be of interest to providers of domiciliary care, including those who are able to offer more complex, nursing based packages of care. This notice is intended to inform providers of the intention of the CCG to procure this service and that they intend to hold market engagement events. A further notice will be issued when the CCG is seeking to procure the service. It is the intention of the commissioning organisation to establish a framework agreement. The contract will initially be for a period of 3 years with the option to extend for a further 2 years at the sole discretion of the commissioning body. The CCG is seeking expressions of interest by 29th May at 1700hrs. The CCG intends to run market consultation event(s) prior to commencement of the procurement process. Interested parties will be informed of the venue following the closing date on 29th May. Events are scheduled as follows: * An initial consultation event will be held on Thursday 4th June between 1330 and 1630hrs. This event is intended to gather initial views from the market around specification of the service and the intended format of the procurement. * A follow up event will be held on Wednesday 24th June between 1330 and 1530hrs. This will be to feed back to the market on any changes incorporated following the initial event and to explore the CCG's intentions with regard to the financial envelope. Organisations wishing to attend the events should send an e-mail to Sharanjit.kaur2@nhs.net stating the name of their organisation and the names and job titles of those members of staff they wish to attend. In order to assist the CCG with managing capacity organisations are asked to nominate a maximum of 2 representatives. The services to which this advertisement relates fall within Part B of Schedule 3 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2006. Neither placement of this advertisement nor any other indication shall be taken to mean that the Contracting Authority intends to hold itself bound by any Regulations, save those applicable to Part B services.
