Notice Description

This Request for Information (RFI) seeks information relating to the provision of a digital data hub allowing data exchange between participants in combinable crop supply chains, AHDB and the wider industry. Every combinable crop grower, haulier, merchant and processor in the UK will have access to it. Part of this project's ambition is to replace the current paper passport process for combinable crop movements across the UK. Please note the following general conditions: * This RFI will help us to refine the requirements. * We reserve the right not to proceed with a further competition or direct award. Nothing shall constitute a commitment to order unless we undertake a further competition or direct award. * Any and all costs associated with the production of such a response either to an RFI or further competition must be borne by the supplier. We will not contribute in any way to meeting production costs of any response. * Information contained within this document is confidential and must not be revealed to any third party without prior written consent from us. * No down-selection of potential providers will take place as a consequence of any responses or interactions relating to this RFI. * We expect that all responses to this RFI will be provided by potential providers in good faith to the best of their ability in the light of information available at the time of their response. * No information provided by a potential provider in response to this RFI will be carried forward, used or acknowledged in any way for the purpose of evaluating the potential provider, in any subsequent formal procurement process. Additional information: How to access the RFI information and apply: 1. Register your company on the eSourcing portal (this is only required once) Browse to the eSourcing Portal: https://defra.bravosolution.co.uk and click the link to register Accept the terms and conditions and click 'continue' Enter your correct business and user details - Note the username you chose and click 'Save' when complete You will shortly receive an email with your unique password (please keep this secure) 2. Express an Interest in the tender Login to the portal with the username/password Click the ITTs Open To All Suppliers' link. (These Invitations to Tender open to any registered supplier) - Click on the relevant ITT to access the content. Click the 'Express Interest' button at the top of the page. This will move the ITT into your 'My ITTs' page. (This is a secure area reserved for your projects only) You can now access any attachments by clicking 'Buyer Attachments' in the 'ITT Details' box 3. Responding to the tender Click 'My Response' under 'ITT Details', you can choose to 'Create Response' or to 'Decline to Respond' (please give a reason if declining) You can now use the 'Messages' function to communicate with the buyer and seek any clarification - Note the deadline for completion, then follow the onscreen instructions to complete the ITT There may be a mixture of online and offline actions for you to perform (there is detailed online help available) You must then submit your reply using the 'Submit Response' button at the top of the page.
