Terracotta Repair Works to Smethwick Council House (Grade 2 Listed) Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking expressions of interest from conservation building contractors to tender for repair of defective terracotta stonework and associated repairs to the facade at Smethwick Council House, High St Smethwick, B66 3NT. Contractors must have evidence of previous experience in the repair and replacement of terracotta blocks. All repairs specified will be carried out in accordance with the up-to-date guidance given in Historic England's new 'Practical Building Conservation; Earth, Brick and Terracotta' publication.
