Notice Description

Note Reserved Contract. This contract is reserved for Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprises. The Council has a requirement for a rapid response service to address significant increases in youth anti-social behaviour across Newcastle through a detached youth work approach. The Rapid Response Fund will provide short-term activities to promote personal and social development, improved health outcomes, reduce risk-taking behaviour, reduction in youth anti-social behaviour (ASB) for young people 13-19 (or young people with learning difficulties and disabilities up to the age of 25) and will be delivered flexibly on evenings, weekends and holiday periods as required. It will be used for short terms interventions - maximum of 8 weeks (with a potential to extend to not more than an additional 8 weeks). The service must respond to new and emerging patterns of need including responding to the needs of young people congregating in areas of the City not traditionally covered by youth work services, and must also cater for young people who have travelled there from other parts of the City.
