Summary of the contracting process

NHS England London Region, represented by the N E L Commissioning Support Unit, is in the planning stage of the London APMS GP Contracts (Tranche 7) Market Engagement Event. This event is scheduled for 22nd March 2019 at the Ambassadors Bloomsbury Hotel, London. The engagement aims to inform interested and qualified providers of primary medical GP services about upcoming opportunities involving 17 contracts across multiple Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) in London. Interested parties must register by 19th March 2019 to attend, and the expected publication of official contract notices will occur in June 2019 with an initial contract duration of five years, plus an optional extension of an additional five years.

This Market Engagement Event presents significant growth opportunities for businesses specialising in primary medical services, particularly those that qualify as small to medium enterprises (SMEs) or voluntary and community sector enterprises (VCSEs). By participating in the event, providers can gain insights into the tendering process, network with decision-makers, and better understand the specific needs of the commissioners from NHS Camden, Waltham Forest, Tower Hamlets, City & Hackney, and other CCGs. This preliminary engagement is crucial for businesses keen to compete successfully in the forthcoming competitive procurement process.
