The procurement process is currently in the Award stage, with the project value set at £8,073. The tender period has concluded, with responses due by 22nd September 2017. This opportunity is well-suited for SMEs, particularly those specialised in parking management and consultancy services, as the project entails assessing and recommending designs for the management of parking at the Kendal County Offices. Notice Title

PSF 2 Lot 4 Kendal County Hall Car Park.

Notice Description

Lot 4 - Multi Disc A The Council is looking to appoint a consultant to assess the current parking arrangements at their offices at Kendal County Offices, and to propose an outline design to manage parking including potential provision for fee-charged public car parking. The car park at Kendal County Offices has always been a private car park; however there is continual high use by members of the public. The volume of public parking impacts adversely on the function of the Council's day to day activities. In addition, occupiers and users of adjacent premises also park without permission on the site. The Council wish to regain control by implementing parking restrictions that it can legally enforce, to ensure Council members and staff can carry out their duties effectively. The parking areas at the rear of the building may be required for a contractor's compound for an 18-24 month period starting in autumn 2018. Design proposals for management of the parking areas need therefore to reflect that staff and public use of these areas may only be temporary until September 2018. This project was awarded via the Professional Services Framework
