Notice Information
Notice Title
Police & Fire Medical Appeal Board Service
Notice Description
The Secretary of State for the Home Department has overall responsibility for policing and fire policy. As part of this responsibility, the Department is empowered to consider any appeal by a pension scheme member against a decision made by a police force or fire authority in relation to an ill-health pension or injury benefit award. In order to administer such appeals, the Department appoints a contractor with the capability to manage independent appeal boards staffed by qualified medical practitioners. The resultant agreement is likely to be of a framework in nature, allowing police & fire customers to call off the service as required. The framework will be accessible to all UK police and fire authorities. The attached questionnaire is to test market interest, capability and to afford the opportunity for organisations to provide feedback Additional information: Please complete the short questionnaire and return it to: collaborativeprocurement@homeoffice.gov.uk no later than mid-day on 21st March 2019
