Summary of the contracting process

The Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU) is currently concluding the procurement process for a Shuttle Service, titled "Shuttle Service - AWARD". This award falls under the services category, specifically motor vehicles for transporting more than ten persons. The contract will commence on 1st September 2019 and will be effective for one year, concluding on 31st August 2020, with a possibility of a one-year extension. The contract was awarded on 16th August 2019 to The Kings Ferry Ltd, following an open procurement method and open procedure.

This tender presents considerable opportunities for transport service providers to expand their operations, particularly those with experience in managing shuttle services for educational institutions. Businesses specialising in passenger transport, especially those with the capability to provide minibuses with a minimum seating capacity of 16, will be well-positioned to compete. Given the contract's public sector nature, suppliers that can demonstrate a strong history of reliability and value for money in similar contexts will be particularly favoured.
