Notice Information
Notice Title
Lone Worker Protection Services
Notice Description
Defra Group is looking to explore the market, in advance of a formal tendering process, to identify a solution which enhances the protection offered to Lone workers. Tasks undertaken and the locations worked by Defra group staff are varied and can require staff to work in vulnerable situations where threats may be social or environmental, which could lead to a potential loss of life. The key requirements of a lone worker solution and managed support services, are: 1. A system that can track every user, store user details, where users are located, where they are going to and when they have returned. 2. A service which allows for check-ins, raising SOS alerts and incapacity monitoring. 3. The technology must have the capability to work in poor signal areas. 4. Access to an emergency call/alert monitoring centre that is manned 24/7 5. The ability to locate users in emergency situations. 6. The service offered should be flexible and reflect the 24/7 hours when lone workers may be active. To indicate your organisation's interest in tendering for a future contract please contact eira.coles@defra.gov.uk This PIN does not constitute a formal notice to tender and there is no guarantee Defra will proceed with an external tendering exercise. By registering your interest, you are not committing to any future tender submission and replies will not form part of any subsequent tender process or evaluation.
