Notice Information
Notice Title
Pay Modelling Services
Notice Description
The current British Transport Police (BTP) staff reward structure has been in place since 2010. The structure includes an annual pay review, spine point progression and a planned annual pay scale revalorisation that has not been implemented. Pay structures were established at a time when BTP had different requirements for staff. Many new skills do not fit within the existing pay structures and, as such, approach to filling roles requiring these skills has been on a "needs as" basis by department with allowances, market supplements etc, rather than as part of a strategic reward strategy. Tenderers are required to submit a fixed price bid to provide consultancy services for the delivery of the key outputs and milestones described in the statement of requirements; to develop a police staff pay modelling tool and to contribute towards a draft business case to enable BTP to develop fully costed, viable options for a modern pay reward framework. BTP currently use the Hay job evaluation scheme, plus Hay and Xperthr Pay Surveys. Having regard to the above it is the intention of BTP therefore to issue a tender opportunity with effect from Tuesday 8 June 2021 inviting bids for the delivery of Pay Modelling Services, contract to commence with effect from 25 August 2021. IMPORTANT NOTICE - Although the contract will be for a duration of 2 years, the deadline for completion and delivery of the Pay Model by the successful service provider will be the end of October 2021, from the date of contract award (expected August 2021). The tender competition will be conducted by way of open competition (estimated value falls below Public Procurement threshold for other contracting authorities). The Invitation to Tender and supporting competition documents will be uploaded and made available on www.mytenders.co.uk. Submissions will only be accepted through the 'My Tenders' portal. If you have not already done so you will be required to register as a supplier in 'My Tenders' via the following URL https://www.mytenders.co.uk/Register_V2/Supplier_Register.aspx
