Turner Free Schools Temporary Provision 2019
Notice Description
The Turner Free School based in Folkestone, Kent, opened in September 2018 with founding 4FE year group (Year 7 - 120 pupils) intake in the existing sports block and a temporary modular accommodation double classroom block with WCs. In September 2019, Turner Free School will open with a 6FE year group (Year 7 and 8) with a new intake which will consist of 180 pupils. The new students will need to be accommodated in 3 additional temporary modular accommodation double classroom blocks with WCs. The contract is to design, manufacture, deliver and install temporary modular units at the aforementioned site. Anticipated start on site July 2019 (or earlier, tbc) with completion no later than 16th August 2019 for timely opening of the school in September 2019. The temporary units are programmed to be removed after a period of 1 year and would coincide with the completion of permanent building works within the boundary line of the same site in September 2020. The procurement route shall be 2 stage procurement with PCSA and JCT ICD building contract 2016 with contractor's design. Appointment of contractor will be on the basis of the criteria to be published in the tender documents, and the contract will be awarded on the basis of the following split: Qualitative assessment 30% / Quantitative assessment 70%. In order to be considered for this tender, the contractor should commit to the following: The project must be handed over by mid-August 2019, The project must be within the defined budget range of PS500,000 to PS530,000, The contractors must be able to demonstrate their experience in delivering similar Education Projects. Expression of interest to this advert are to be made no later than 1200hrs on 14 December 2018.
