Summary of the contracting process

Great Dunmow Town Council is undertaking a procurement process for the provision of a new VoIP telephony system and fibre internet connection, classified under networks and telecommunications equipment. This tender, titled "VoIP Telephony & Fibre Internet," is being conducted through a competitive quotation method, suitable for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and will be managed at Foakes House, Great Dunmow, England. The procurement is currently at the tender stage, with significant dates including the deadline for clarification questions on 12 September 2025, tender submission by 22 September 2025, evaluation occurring between 22 and 26 September 2025, and a projected contract start on 1 October 2025.

This tender presents an excellent opportunity for SMEs specialising in telecommunications and networking solutions to expand their business. Potential bidders are encouraged to demonstrate innovative designs that ensure flexibility, reliability, and seamless service continuity for the Council's evolving needs. The contract promises growth potential, as the system must support future extensions beyond the initially required eight phones. Moreover, businesses that excel in delivering world-class customer service and technical support could significantly benefit by gaining a stable five-year partnership with the Great Dunmow Town Council. The procurement process evaluates suppliers based on quality, price, implementation, and added value, prioritizing the Most Economically Advantageous Tender (MEAT).
