Pharmacy Prescribers Pathfinder
Notice Description
North of England Commissioning Support (NECS) is a commissioning support service working for and on behalf of North East and North Cumbria ICB (NENC) (the Contracting Authority), who are seeking to test the market and request suppliers express their interest in a Pathfinder Programme for Independent Prescribing in Community Pharmacy. The purpose of this Pathfinder is to help them shape the future of prescribing as part of NHS clinical services provided by Community Pharmacies. For more information please see: www.england.nhs.uk/primary-care/pharmacy/pharmacy-integration-fund/independent-prescribing/ North East and North Cumbria ICB (NENC) are looking to identify 10 Pathfinder sites initially via Expression of Interest. The Pathfinder sites in NENC will be involved in exciting work to explore how community pharmacists can best deliver an integrated prescribing offer, for acute illnesses, alongside general practices in their local community. To express your interest please register your organisation with the Atamis Portal: https://health-family.force.com/s/Welcome. More detail is available in the Additional Information Section below. The Pathfinder term is for an initial period of approximately 5 months expected to commence, via a staggered approach, on 20 11 2023. The closing date for registering an interest is: Monday 16th October 2023 @ 12noon. You can express an interest on behalf of more than one pharmacy. Please note that this exercise is not part of any pre-qualification process. It is intended as an expression of interest, awareness raising, communication and information gathering exercise - offering an opportunity for provider organisations to help inform potential future service models and/or commissioning intentions. Additional Information: NECS is utilising an electronic tendering tool to manage this procurement project and communicate with potential bidders. Accordingly, there will be no hard copy documents issued to potential bidders and all communications with NECS, including bids or submissions, will be conducted via the Atamis portal at: https://health-family.force.com/s/Welcome. It is free to register on the portal and it can be accessed at any time of day providing you have a working internet connection.
