Summary of the contracting process

The Home Office is currently in the planning stage for a tender titled "Future Supplier Services," focusing on general public services within the UK. This procurement, which is valued at £855 million, seeks to enhance operations related to visas and citizenship through various services, including visa outsourcing, ID solutions, and AI processing. A supplier engagement event is scheduled for 8 and 9 July 2020, with a deadline for registration on 22 June 2020 at 17:00. The primary location for this tender is Westminster, London, with potential delivery addresses across the UK and British Overseas Territories.

This tender presents significant growth opportunities for SMEs specialised in technology and service delivery. Companies involved in visa outsourcing, technology integration, app development, and ID verification are particularly well-positioned to participate. By contributing insights during the engagement events, businesses can influence the future direction of outsourced visa services and align their offerings with the Home Office’s evolving needs. Interested parties should be prepared to complete a non-disclosure agreement to partake in discussions that could inform future government procurements.

Notice Title

Future Supplier Services

Notice Description

Future Supplier Services (FSS) is a strategic buying programme to procure a variety of Visas and Citizenship (V&C) Directorate operations. Its remit therefore covers the definition of requirements, running the procurements to deliver those services as well as mobilising those contracts and delivering them into business as usual operations. The areas that this covers include but are not limited to: * visa outsourcing and technology providers; * app developers; * contact centre services; * ID solutions/biometrics; * integration services; * verification services; * AI and big data processing and analysis. Secure testing and payment solutions are areas that will be considered separately to this event. Due to significant changes to service delivery models and the way in which technology has evolved since the current contracts for some of these services were previously let, V&C has tasked FSS to consider how services can be streamlined to improve the customer journey whilst maximising value and efficiency. The Future Supplier Service Programme will define Government's requirement for future outsourced visa services. In order to complete this task it is seeking industry insight to assist in defining its future vision for outsourced services. Additional information: The authority is intending to host a supplier engagement event to be held on the 8 and 9 July 2020. Each event will be identical in its structure and facilitated on behalf of the Home Office by the company techUK.The event will provide attendees with an update on V&C's future direction and vision and the opportunity to hear about developing high-level commercial requirements. The ensuing round table discussions will provide an opportunity to challenge or validate V&C's thinking and share your views on the art of the possible as subject matter experts. The topics and questions we would like to explore during these sessions will be provided upon application.During the event we hope that you will:* provide constructive insights to challenge or endorse V&Cs emerging vision of future service. This should be based on attendees understanding of what the market can deliver by the time that FSS moves to live operations;* explore the potential for creating a better match between programme needs and industry capabilities;* input into the outline requirements; and* provide a view on the proposed commercial model.Places are likely to be limited, If you wish to take advantage of this opportunity and to participate in the Event, you should register your interest no later than 17.00 on the 22 June 2020 using the following links:Register for the event on 8 July here: https://www.techuk.org/events/webinar/item/17713-home-office-ukvi-future-supplier-services-market-engagementRegister for the event on 9 July here: https://www.techuk.org/events/webinar/item/17712-home-office-ukvi-future-supplier-services-market-engagementPlease note that participation will be dependent on your organisation completing a non-disclosure agreement.
