The General Medical Council (GMC) generates and holds a wide range of data which is critical to its role as a regulator in ensuring that it assesses and addresses risk. In particular, the GMC has unique data on all medical professionals in the UK as a result of them all registering with us. The GMC also holds unique data on medical education and training and on the fitness to practise experiences of large numbers of doctors.
