Summary of the contracting process

DHSC International Freight and Logistics Solutions

Notice Description

The contracting authority is tendering a multi-lot procurement for the provision of international freight and logistics services to support the importation of medical products into the UK from international sources. The contracting authority is tendering for the following five lots: 1. Air freight charters; 2. Air freight and ground handling services; 3. Sea freight services; 4. Rail freight services; 5. Road freight services. This will be zero-volume commitment contract. Each Contract will be for an initial 12 month period with an option to extend for up to a further 12 months in multiples of 3 month increments. The Authority will inform the Successful Supplier no less than 3 months before end of contract term on any decision to extend the Contract. The total contract value for Year 1 will be PS96,000,000, with the option to increase contract value in the event that the contract is extended. Any increases in contract value will be in line with Public Contract Regulations 2015. A high-level description of services to be provided under each Lot can be found in the attached word document "DHSC International Freight and Logistics Solutions Procurement - Lot Descriptions". The contracting authority intends to use the Department of Health and Social Care Atamis eTendering system to manage the tender. Information relating to the tender is available within Atamis.
