Summary of the contracting process

Birmingham City Council is initiating a tender for the "P0885 - Birmingham Virtual School Tuition Framework," a project within the educational services industry. This procurement process, currently in the planning stage, aims to establish a four-year framework agreement offering various educational services in Birmingham, including both face-to-face and remote tuition across different categories, specifically tailored for students from primary age to post-16 and those with additional needs. The deadline for submission of completed tenders is set for noon on 26th May 2022, with the services expected to commence on 5th September 2022.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in educational services, particularly those providing tutoring, mentoring, and support for students with additional needs. Companies that offer both face-to-face and virtual delivery models could excel in this competition, especially if they are experienced in delivering tutoring for diverse student groups. Additionally, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary community and social enterprises (VCSEs) are encouraged to participate, benefiting from the framework's potential for capturing a steady demand in the education sector over the next four years.
