Notice Description

UKGI require a Resource Planning tool to streamline and professionalise it's resourcing and project management. This planning tool shall minimise inefficiencies and enable the management of demand and and forecasting. The tool will be designed to interact and provide information for three key functions, Resourcing, PMO and Finance. The tool will enable more dynamic decision making and a more efficient approach. The PMO and Resourcing Manager have identified a suitable resourcing and portfolio management tool after conducting due diligence on a number of options based on the below requirements. Use this section to provide a clear description of the requirement, its purpose, its scope and the key deliverables. You should also indicate why the requirement is of operational necessity. UKGI requires a Resource Planning tool to streamline and professionalise it's resourcing and project management. Currently all resourcing is planned manually which leads to inefficiencies and lacks the ability to properly manage demand and forecasting. The tool will be designed to interact and provide information for three key functions, Resourcing, PMO and Finance. The tool will enable more dynamic decision making and a more efficient approach. The PMO and Resourcing Manager have identified a suitable resourcing and portfolio management tool after conducting due diligence on a number of options based on the below requirements. Features required Resource planning; * Real-time view of bookings by job and resource * Instant view of over and under-allocation * View by availability, skill, project * Holiday & absence tracking * Create tentative and unassigned bookings * Ability for staff to view their own, and their project teams resourcing * Manage existing demand - by enabling a holistic overview of projects and being able to effectively prioritise to meet demand * Strategic decision making - through automated reporting on the status of individual projects and the whole portfolio including the degree of achievement, strategic alignment and the benefits realised * Managing team dynamics - able to actively understand teams and forecast to meet appropriate demand Talent management; * Create specific skill profiles for different engagements * Integrate with skills survey data * Create employee talent profiles Reporting; * Capacity, utilisation & demand forecasting * Ability to analyse information * Interactive reporting and management dashboards * Ability to create bespoke reporting, dashboard, showing: o Number active/completed/delayed projects o Benefits tracking o Links to other processes e.g. risk rating for each project o Start and end dates - showing overdue o Cost/ resourcing o Priority o Objective/ strategic alignment o Responsibility o Team dynamics
