The Wordsworth Trust is looking for a dynamic and creative communications agency to create and execute a campaign around Reimagining Wordsworth, a 6 million GBP HLF funded project which will result in a redeveloped offer on the site in Town End (Grasmere), a new brand identity for the organisation, and an exciting new programme of activities, in time for a national celebration of Wordsworth's 250th birthday in 2020. With a complex timeline of events, a broad and far-reaching audience and many stakeholders, the PR requirements are substantial. The appointed PR agency will form an integral part of the project team, will be critical to building awareness about the Wordsworth Trust, growing our profile nationally and internationally, and developing a strategic approach to communicating the scope and ambition of Reimagining Wordsworth. Core Objectives of PR Campaign Deliver strong press coverage at every phase of the campaign in both trade and mainstream national media, clearly communicating the progress of the project and marking key milestones. Build momentum and awareness of the 250th anniversary of Wordsworth's birth in 2020, laying the groundwork for a major launch moment and reopening of the site and supporting other activities planned during the anniversary year. One of the key aims of Reimagining Wordsworth is for the Wordsworth Trust to encapsulate the spirit of Wordsworth and present ourselves as a relevant, exciting, radical and inspiring organisation. ...ch of the project. Develop an initial framework for the proposed plan to communicate the objectives and activities of Reimagining Wordsworth to identified stakeholders, both national and international, ensuring this activity aligns with the plans of our local PR consultant. Discuss initial proposals with the Marketing and Communications Manager and the project steering group. Produce a detailed plan, including timings, budget and resources, which sets out the exact programme of activities/events to be developed as part of the PR campaign. Ensure performance metrics are clear, measurable and achievable. Implement communications plan, ensuring regular communication with the Wordsworth Trust team and sign off on all activity. Liaise with funders (principally the Heritage Lottery Fund) and members of the professional team as appropriate. Produce written update report for the project steering group and Marketing and Communications Manager on a monthly basis, and the Communications and Fundraising Committee on a quarterly basis. Produce a detailed evaluation report of PR activity following project launch. Timetable This contract will run from January 2019 to June 2020. Budget The guide price for this contract is GBP20,000 (including VAT and expenses). Applicants are asked to submit a detailed budget for the work, including a breakdown of fees and allocation of time for each member of the consultant's team. Quotations should be inclusive of VAT and all expenses.
