Following this Preliminary Market Consultation, the Department may conclude that procurement is not the best solution to meet a particular strategic outcome. The Department may conclude that it would be better to do something entirely different to the intent within this Preliminary Market Consultation. It is essential that any organisation participating in the Preliminary Market Consultation understands that a procurement opportunity is not guaranteed. Should a procurement opportunity arise subsequently, involvement in the Preliminary Market Consultation will not affect an organisation's positioning either positively or negatively .
