Brief Description of Requirement UK Shared Business Services Ltd (UK SBS), on behalf of The Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) wishes to appoint a supplier to undertake the Testing of 10 Infant Sleep Products (Cot Bumpers) in order to verify compliance with regulations. To perform testing on a total of 10 infant sleep products (cot bumpers), to verify compliance with the following Regulations (and any amendments to these): 2005 No. 1803 CONSUMER PROTECTION The General Product Safety Regulations 2005 The required testing: BS EN 16780:2018 Textile child care articles - Safety requirements and test methods for children's cot bumpers SS 4.1 Design characteristics (all sections) Including BS EN 16732:2015 Slide fasteners (zips) - Specification (if applicable) SS 4.2 Mechanical & Physical Hazards (all sections) SS 5 User Information (all sections) The test methods applied should follow harmonised standards the reference numbers of which have been published in the Official Journal of the European Union, or other reliable, accurate and reproducible calculation and measurement methods, which considers the generally recognised state of the art.
