    2gether Support Solutions was formed in April 2018 as a new, wholly owned subsidiary company of one of the largest NHS Foundation Trusts in the UK, East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. The Trust established the company to reflect its strategic aim to secure strong vibrant core facilities and support services for the long term, having signed a 25 year contract with 2gether. Recognising that these services would be best delivered in a new service model, a private independent trading company was formed, and who would build on the existing service model whilst developing opportunities for greater service provision in the future. The Authorising Engineer (Lifts) shall be appointed by 2gether Support Solutions Ltd on behalf of East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust and shall act as an independent professional adviser to 2gether Support Solutions Ltd. The contract shall be for 3-years with the option to extend by one year and a further one-year subject to performance and 2gether Support Solutions approval.     The Authorising Engineer (Lifts) shall be appointed by the Director of Capital & Estates (Designated Person) as an independent professional adviser to 2gether Support Solutions Ltd and shall be a chartered engineer with appropriate experience. The Authorising Engineer (Lifts) shall possess the necessary degree of independence to take action within the guidance of HTM 08-02 including the implementation, administration and monitoring of the safety arrangements defined in BS 7255 The Authorising Engineer (Lifts) shall provide support and be responsible for overseeing the application of HTM 08-02, together with advising on 2gether Support Solutions Ltd compliance with SFG20 for the maintenance and management of lift safety and associated safe working practices The Authorising Engineer (Lifts) shall provide independent professional advice and support to the Senior Operational Manager, the Estates and Capital Development Teams and the Director of Capital & Estates reviewing documentation for all new developments appertaining to Lift design.
