Social Care Officer Rate of Pay: PS13.18 (PAYE) Hours: 37 Hours Location: Sandwell Council House or any other location Start Date: ASAP Contract type: Agency Job Description and Personnel Specification are attached, which also provides more information above the role. Brief description: We are looking for temporary agency Social Care Officer for 37 hours a week, Monday to Thursday 9am - 5.30pm & Friday 9am - 5pm. We require a committed and hardworking agency social care officer with a minimum of 1 years' experience, good work ethics and attributes to make a difference to the lives of vulnerable people in Sandwell. You will need to be motivated and flexible with high professional standards and knowledge and experience of current legislation including the Care Act 2014, Continuing Health Care, Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Community DOLS. You will be expected to work with vulnerable adults with mental health issues, learning disability, physical disability, older people, and their carers. You will need to be confident in undertaking safeguarding concerns, carrying out outcome focused assessments, reviews, carers assessments and support planning, to meet their care and support needs. You will need to be able to work with a diverse group of individuals and with our partner agencies to deliver the best outcomes for customers. You will be given shadowing and training opportunities and regular supervision with an experienced manager. You will be working in a friendly environment, skilled, diverse, and supportive team. An Enhanced DBS with Adults Barring List Check is required for this role. Qualifications Must hold GSCE English and Maths or equivalent qualification. This role falls inside of IR35 Please can the agencies send over a CV, 2x up to date references and a copy of Terms and Conditions. You will also need to include your agency on cost details to each submission. Stated rates must be inclusive of all known costs.
