Summary of the contracting process

The South East London Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is initiating the procurement process for the "Young People's Online Counselling Services" contract. This opportunity falls under the health and social work services industry category and is situated in London, UK. The process, currently in the planning stage, is set to begin on 1 April 2023, with the contract potentially spanning until 31 March 2027. The total estimated contract value is £2,200,000 over four years, with an annual budget of £550,000. Interested parties must submit an expression of interest by 17:00 on 14 January 2021, marking the importance of this date as the CCG may proceed with awarding the contract based on the responses received.

This procurement offers significant growth opportunities for businesses specialising in mental health services, particularly those providing online counseling and support to young people aged 10 to 26. Companies that can deliver a secure, user-friendly online platform and have experience with early intervention support services will be well-positioned to compete. The requirement for BACP accreditation also suggests that organisations with qualified psychotherapists and a commitment to community engagement would be preferred bidders, making this a strategic opportunity for SMEs and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) in the sector.
