Notice Description

NHS Arden & Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit on behalf of NHS Coventry & Rugby Clinical Commissioning Group; NHS South Warwickshire Clinical Commissioning Group and NHS Warwickshire North Clinical Commissioning Group would like to invite providers to attend a 'Market Engagement Event' for Minimally Invasive Vasectomy (Male Sterilisation) Services. The service will provide a high quality minimally invasive vasectomy service (using local anaesthesia), in accordance with Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health guidelines, (FSRH), in a primary care setting to all adult males who request it, have capacity to make the decision, are not acting under external duress and who do not have any contraindications. The main aims of the service are: * To provide a high quality, cost effective, local community vasectomy service. * To provide services that comply with accepted best practice, relevant accreditation processes, relevant guidelines in clinical practice and robust governance arrangements. * To provide a complete holistic patient focussed care package; including pre and post-operative care, information, advice and counselling. * To provide an opportunity for men's Health Promotion and for Making Every Contact Count (MECC). * To ensure consistent and continuous care between health professionals, and effective and efficient communication. * To improve access and convenience for patients. * To improve patient choice. The 'Market Engagement Event' will be held on Wednesday 17 June 2015 at 15.30 until 17.30 at: NHS Coventry & Rugby Clinical Commissioning Group, Christchurch House, Greyfriars Lane, Coventry, CV1 2GQ. Main Switchboard: 02476 553344. Upon arrival please report to the NHS Coventry & Rugby CCG Reception on the second floor of Christchurch House (address as above). Please confirm your attendance by 5pm Monday 15 June 2015 to: tim.oakley@ardencsu.nhs.uk. Please note that after this deadline we cannot guarantee your place at the event and no more than 2 attendees per provider. The 'Market Engagement Event' will provide: * An overview of the service to be provided. * Details of the anticipated contract type, length and proposed timeline. * An opportunity for providers to ask questions.
